Eligibility Criteria
Candidates wishing to apply for the Young Professional position must fulfill the following mandatory qualifications as of the specified cut-off dates:
- Educational Qualification: A Postgraduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Experience Required: A minimum of one (01) year of active work experience in a public or private institution.
- Age Limit: Maximum of 30 years as of 01 August 2026.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit the following competencies:
- Consistently strong academic track record.
- Exceptional comprehension, writing, and drafting skills for high-quality reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Familiarity with the Government of India’s rules, regulations, and general office procedures.
- Capability to handle high-pressure scenarios and manage extended working hours when parliamentary sessions demand.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be integrated into the core operations of the Parliament Unit, managing tasks such as:
- Coordinating and monitoring Parliament-related work, including Parliamentary Questions, Special Mentions, and Zero Hour matters.
- Liaising closely with the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
- Drafting official replies, background briefs, notes, Records of Discussion (RoD), and Action Taken Reports (ATR).
- Managing Parliamentary Committee matters, including scheduling meetings, organizing study visits, and compiling oral evidence.
- Assisting in legislative drafts concerning Bills, Ordinances, and the formal laying of papers in Parliament.
- Tracking Parliamentary Assurances and coordinating data collection across various Ministry divisions and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Remuneration & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: A consolidated, all-inclusive stipend of ₹54,000 per month.
- Leave Entitlement: 12 days of casual leave per year allocated on a pro-rata basis.
Selection Process
- Initial Shortlisting: Screening of received applications based on educational merits and relevant experience.
- Written & Viva Assessment: Shortlisted candidates may undergo an MCQ-based examination (50 marks) followed by a Personal Interview (50 marks) conducted by the Ministry.
