Eligibility Criteria & Experience
Applicants must fulfill the following essential and professional qualifications:
- Essential Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) OR a Post Graduate Degree in Social Sciences (such as Political Science, Sociology, International Relations, Social Work, Human Rights, or Developmental Communications) from a recognized university with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates holding an LL.M., M.Phil., or Ph.D., as well as those with proven research experience and published papers in the relevant field.
- Required Experience: Minimum 01 year of active legal experience OR 01 year of research experience in a Government department, reputed semi-governmental organization, international development agency, research organization, or NGO.
- (Note: Internship and training experience will not be counted toward the one-year requirement).
Key Roles & Remuneration Terms
Selected consultants will support the NHRC across various verticals, assisting in investigating human rights violations, reviewing legal safeguards, studying international instruments, and generating research papers.
The consolidated monthly pay of ₹70,000 is inclusive of all taxes. Remuneration is disbursed within one week of completing the month, verified via biometric attendance. Furthermore, individual consultants are eligible for a performance-based enhancement of ₹5,000 per year.
